CyberCube and Duo Security Answer Top Cyber Insurance Questions

Originally aired: Tuesday, April 05, 2022

Last year saw a 500% increase in the number of reported major ransomware attacks compared to just two years ago, representative of the exponential growth in costly attacks aimed at organizations since the start of 2020. This data comes from the 2022 Global Threat Briefing report by CyberCube, the world’s leading provider of cyber risk analytics for the insurance industry. As the shift to work-from-anywhere has accelerated over the last two years, organizations recognize their growing need for insurance coverage against costly cyber incidents including data breaches, network damage, and potential business interruptions. But for organizations taking their first steps in this journey, it can be difficult to find straightforward answers or even know where to start.

Any discussion of liability coverage needs to start considering the holistic organizational security risks you face: what can you mitigate, what can you transfer, and what can you accept? Identifying these gaps and implementing some of the common defensive measures expected by insurers can not only better prepare you for these conversations, but may help reduce the costs of coverage when you do select a provider.

Join this live conversation between special guest Darren Thomson, CyberCube’s Head of Cyber Security Strategy, and Duo Global Advisory CISO Richard Archdeacon for a data-driven discussion on how the cybersecurity insurance market has developed, what security teams investigating coverage should keep in mind, and what developments 2022 may bring.
